Color Sunday

Last Sunday we took a family drive up to the mesa. The fall colors were amazing. There were a ton of people up there. I don't know why we haven't ever gone in the past. It was a fun family day. Poor Millie got carsick in her kennel on the way up. We let her ride with us in the cab of the truck for the rest of the trip. At one point I had to hang her head out the window when she got sick again. What a sight we must have been going down the highway with a dog puking out the window. Thank goodness for automatic car washes.

School Days

The kids started school this week. Despite the fact that I love them very much, I was not one bit sad. I could not wait. The whining, fighting, and boredom had gotten to me. Does that make me a bad mom? They aren't gone that long and they all love being at school. I think it makes us all appreciate one another a little bit more. In case you were wondering, I don't get all that time to myself.

I still have this to deal with.....

I love her too! =)

Meet Millie

This is our puppy Millie.
She sure is a cutie.

She also is all the trouble I expected a puppy would be. But we still love her. Dogs are kind of like kids. It's different when it is your own. All in all she is a pretty good dog. I just hope she is housetrained soon. I've had about all of that I can handle.

It's never too late.....right?

So, I've finally decided to jump on the blogging bandwagon. I have been admiring other blogs for a while now and kept saying I needed one of my own.

Having Addy around makes Avery ask me questions about when she was that age. In the middle of raising your first baby, when everything they do is adorable, funny, and amazing, you think you could never possibly forget all those cute things they do. Well, I did forget. Not everything of course, but a lot of everyday things she would do and say. Then having a husband, a dog, and two more kids I just can't remember it all. Now I regret not writing it down. Didn't anybody tell me to do that? And if they did, why didn't I listen?

So, like I said, it's never too late to start.
